Zepto CEO Aadit Palicha has announced a major milestone in the company’s supply-chain automation journey. In a post on X.com, he shared that Zepto has now scaled automated backend operations across India, marking one of the biggest tech-driven upgrades in India’s quick-commerce industry.
According to Aadit, Zepto’s automated systems now process 25 lakh FMCG units every single day across their facilities. This shift has helped the company improve outbound manpower productivity by more than 45%, compared to earlier manual operations.
This improvement has also resulted in hundreds of crores in annual operating cost savings, giving Zepto a strong competitive advantage in the fast-growing quick-delivery market.
One of the most impressive parts of this achievement is that Zepto’s tech team has built in-house software that controls and guides these automated assets. These systems are also connected directly with Zepto’s core logistics platforms, creating a strong foundation for future automation and scaling new tech stacks.
Aadit ended his announcement with a clear message:
Zepto is just getting started.
